Keil changes license restart policy

Important information for Keil MDK users.

Effective from April 1st, 2020, it will not be possible to restart, or re-instate, an expired Support and Maintenance contract for licensed MDK software.
Previously Keil's policy has been that customers had the option to have a break in between Support and Maintenance periods at a certain cost factor.
ARM has taken the decision to stop offering a restart option for licenses with expired Support and Maintenance. Perpetual licenses can still be used with the MDK software version that was current at the date of Maintenance expiration but they cannot be updated to more recent versions.

As a result, users with expired Maintenance who require the latest MDK release and features are required to purchase a new MDK license at the than current pricing.

In most cases it will be far less expensive to re-instate maintenance before April 1st and take benefit from the latest version of the MDK and middleware if applicable. We encourage our MDK users to contact their Logic Account Manager to discuss the best way to move forward.
